The Players' Lobby
For the Players' Lobby, I sought out esports players and staff who had unique, untold stories. I conducted initial research on their stories and then reached out to the teams and players and extensively interviewed the subject. Afterward, I crafted their story, with their approval, for publication.
Saebyeolbe traveled halfway around the world to a foreign country, without his wife, to play in the Overwatch League. It wasn't easy for him to adjust to life in America, but with the help of his teammates and his manager, he was able to create a second home in America.
Winning an Overwatch League Championship is no easy task, but Crusty was able to take the San Francisco Shock there in the 2019 and 2020 seasons. But the grind to get there took a toll on his health. Read about what it takes to coach at that level and the sacrifices he made.

Scholastic Esports Work With NASEF
For NASEF I worked as a Content Manager and Writer. My role required me to create educational blog posts around the marriage of gaming/esports and education at the high school level. In addition, I worked with educators in the Magnet Schools of Miami-Dade County Florida who were piloting the NASEF curriculum to write about their experiences in education focused publications like District Administration and Tech & Learning.
Lindy Meiser uses gaming to help incarcerated youth in Texas learn the skills they'll need to succeed once they're out of the local detention center. She is a beacon of hope for the local youth and an inspiration for the community of Pottsboro.
